Victory Square was proud to participate in WE Day Family Vancouver, November 21st, at Rogers Arena. It was a celebration of making doing good, doable. Alongside our friends at Parq Vancouver and WE, the VST team had an amazing evening with the likes of Sarah McLachlan, Lights, Peter Mansbridge and more. Victory Square CEO Shafin Diamond Tejani was co-chair of the evening with Scott Menke of Paragon Gaming.
Victory Square Technologies is proud to have partnered with WE and our friends at Parq Vancouver and JW Marriott to launch WE Care Vancouver in 2018.
Charity, service, philanthropy and community interaction are the backbone of what we do at Victory Square. With the inclusion of families at WE Care Vancouver, we have been excited to see the great things that are igniting a passion in the community for making a difference, not only in the community but across the country and around the world.
We believe that companies have a responsibility to give back to society and this socially responsible consciousness permeates everything we do. It starts with contributing personal time and ends with ensuring tangible results in the communities we operate in.
Victory Square staff, friends and family were proud to gather socks in support of the Lookout Society, the Lower Mainland organization that provides housing and a range of support services to adults with low or no income. We also participated in a food drive in support of Backpack Buddies, a local program that provides at-risk youth with healthy meals. We were proud to see our team members also volunteering with organizations like the Greater Vancouver Food Bank and the Salvation Army’s Belkin House thanks to our work with WE.
Led by Shafin’s vision, Victory Square has become one of Canada’s leading advocates of venture philanthropy. Shafin and the team have donated over 7,500 volunteer hours, helped raise over $75 million for school programs and community organizations, and awarded over $250,000 in scholarships. Shafin’s vision to ensure more children and youth reach their full potential was most recently met in the $10 million commitment to over 50 organizations across BC. These organizations include: BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, Science World, Meal Share, WE Family, Variety BC, Room 2 Read, A4K, Simon Fraser Victory Square Girl’s Tech Camp, Children’s Wish Foundation, Covenant House BC and KIDS SAFE.
