We are seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist, but only someone who refuses to settle, who is fearless of pressure, and someone who knows how to have fun. You see, Digital Marketing Specialists here do more than your typical marketing initiatives and duties. The ideal candidate will work directly with the Victory Square Technologies team, reporting directly to the COO and at times liaise with our 20+ portfolio companies’ teams, to assist in meeting daily and quarterly marketing initiative requirements, which may include campaign monitoring, tracking and reporting, corporate branding and content creation planning, strategic planning, company growth and outreach initiatives, competitor research and analysis.

You Have

  • 3+ years of professional marketing experience 
  • A post-secondary school diploma/degree (Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or Business concentrations an asset)
  • Superior writing and communication skills
  • Superior project management and campaign management skills
  • Experience with marketing automation software and CRM platforms
  • A solid understanding of digital initiatives, and website analytics tools
  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate across various channels
  • Ability to develop relationship lifecycle and customer marketing strategy to deliver high-value engagement through every stage of the customer journey

About the Role

Your day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Provide support in the areas of content marketing, digital marketing (including email marketing, webinars, web content, social media), market research, CRM management, client-facing events and other market-positioning activities
  • Support with the marketing lifecycle of new developments at varying stages
  • Lead the conceptualization, planning, and execution of marketing campaigns from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
  • Ensure the absolute quality of all written and illustrated content produced is of brand standard
  • Strategize and execute strong advertising campaigns with traditional print, online and outdoor media that reflect each target audience 
  • Source new advertising opportunities and stay up-to-date with market trends
  • Analyze online analytics and conduct marketing studies to identify target audiences and competitive advantages 
  • Coordinate the development of content for email campaigns and provide final drafts prior to sending out within Mailchimp and other CRM platforms
  • Collaborate with strategy and maintain corporate social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) 
  • Budget management and maintenance on a per project basis
  • Develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-­facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets
  • Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets
  • Identify new content requirements and collaborate with team members to develop and implement new assets
  • Assist with creation and review of ad copy, website page content and landing page content 
  • Own and report on the status and success of marketing activities/initiatives
